OVERDRIVE is San Diego’s only monthly after-hours for the LGBT community (& beyond)! We feature diverse, international DJ talent, high-energy & fun, friendly festival vibes. OVERDRIVE occurs the 3rd Saturday of each month at Spin Nightclub.

Change = opportunity! While we can’t control the current reality surrounding Spin’s requirement to close at 2AM (for now), we can flip the script and turn it into something exciting. We see this as an opportunity to return to our roots and the roots of our entire nightlife scene. We welcome you to come experience a re-imagined OVERDRIVE. One room, one community, one DJ, and one epic 5-hour journey through the sounds that brought our community together then, unite us now and, with your support, will propel us into a beautiful new future. We will feature an all-new “main event” style production, smokin’ hot dancers to work you into a frenzy and inspire your vibe, plus our signature lighting, lasers, custom Funktion-One sound and the welcoming, friendly vibes that have connected our community for nearly a decade now! Entrance is FREE before 11pm (with registration on this ticketing page) and we will serve $6 cocktails and beers from 9pm – 10pm. Join us for this exciting shift in our history. DJ Mohammad is an established DJ in the city of San Francisco (now living in Atlanta, GA), delivering a unique balance of underground house, tribal, progressive, tech and circuit into his sets. He has already spun alongside superstar DJs & producers such as Tony Moran, Paulo, Tom Stephan, Jackinsky, Eddie Martinez, Alexander, Dani Toro, Danny Verde, Jesus Montanez and many others. DJ Mohammad has a residency at Ky Martinez’s iconic monthly underground party, HOUSE PARTY.
DJ Mohammad has traveled nationwide to the cities of NYC, LA, Miami, SF, ATL, Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Akron, and internationally to Paris, France. He has also spun for events such as NOCTURNAL, HEAVEN, RELOAD, XION, HOT TEA (SF Pride), Circuit Saturday, Cuff, Heretic, Sunsation Sundays, Red Light District, PHOENIX, Shangri-La, Flex, and others. Mohammad’s main goal as a DJ is to give party goers and music lovers not just a reason to dance but a reason to feel emotion through the music he plays, incorporating new & current house tracks and blending them with the old classics that keep an audience that spans multiple generations in complete musical ecstasy.

UNITE! Music Festival – San Diego Pride Parties
Are you ready for something new, fresh and VERY exciting?! We’re thrilled to share the details of our supersized 7th anniversary edition of UNITE! Music Festival, the official parties of San Diego Pride!
We will feature three world-class main nighttime events by OVERDRIVE, Masterbeat and WÜF! at Encore Event Center with two fully customized, immersive indoor stages (an expansive Main Stage with an extremely diverse, international musical landscape spanning the electronic music spectrum from deep and progressive house & tribal to progressive trance & techno and an intimate Side Stage where a single artist will take you on one long, expanding journey through sound) and a massive outdoor staging area with decked out bars, lit-up trees, colorful shade sails, comfy lounge furniture, food trucks, a thoughtfully curated Vendor Village, ample bathroom trailers, and a fun and funky DJ booth and dance area on the lawn. The entire space is our playground for the weekend and we aim to make it memorable, playful and booming with diverse sonic options!
For the sunlight hours, we will feature two distinct events. On Saturday, we will introduce you to our new daytime massive, Sea Party! Making it’s debut splash at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, this venue is an architectural wonder on the edge of San Diego Bay and the heart of downtown. It is a state-of-the-art concert venue that elevates the experience of live music with fully immersive sound throughout the 13,000 square feet of performance space. Besides the visual splendor of the natural setting by the bay and the architectural drama that is The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park itself, we will fully produce the space to turn it into an iconic celebration of pride, equality, diversity, individuality and joy! From the laser DJ booth, expansive LED walls, pyro features, stunning sea creature dancer costumes, live VJ sea visuals and epic party lighting, prepare to be wowed!!! What’s more, this event will be your chance to party with a purpose! 100% of the profits will be donated to San Diego Pride in advancement of its mission to foster pride, equality, and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities locally, nationally, and globally. On Sunday afternoon, we will feature the return of the most talked about event of San Diego Pride 2022, our #UNITED WE GROOVE sunset harbor cruise! This aquatic beauty features 28,000 square feet of event space, an enclosed interior deck, an open-air sky deck rising 30 feet off the water with our signature octopus stage on top, booming sound, hypnotic visuals, seductive dancers and 360-degree views of downtown San Diego!
